Board Interchanger integrates directly with the CATIA V5 MCAD system and gives the MCAD engineer access to Board Designer layout structures with all material properties.

Board Interchanger enables the MCAD engineer to support the layout engineer for 3D floorplanning of components on the PCB, and collision checking with housing, components, or other PCBs, thus making possible true parallel MCAD-to-ECAD design.

Through Board Interchanger the easy creation of 3D electronic devices, such as flexible PCBs or Molded Interconnects (MIDs) is possible, by providing an interactive electrical design environment integrated with the 3D mechanical framework of the MCAD system.
