WESTFORD, Mass., USA, and MUNICH, Germany, April 28, 2026 — Zuken today announced GENESYS 2026, the latest version of its model-based systems engineering (MBSE) platform, introducing a new web-based collaboration client, SIDEKICK, alongside significant performance improvements to help organizations scale MBSE across complex development environments.

As system complexity increases, many organizations struggle to extend MBSE beyond specialist users. GENESYS 2026 addresses this by combining faster performance for large system models with broader access to model-based information, enabling more stakeholders to participate in engineering workflows and decision-making.

High-Performance Modeling for Large, Complex Systems

GENESYS 2026 also delivers substantial performance improvements across core workflows. Faster diagram loading and navigation, improved cross-project performance, reduced project open times, and accelerated report generation enable teams to work more efficiently with large, highly interconnected models.

These improvements reduce waiting time in daily workflows, shorten iteration cycles, and help maintain productivity as model size and complexity grow – supporting more effective MBSE at scale.

Improved Usability and Communication of System Models

Enhancements to diagramming and reporting further improve how teams create, interpret, and share system models. Greater flexibility in diagram layouts and more efficient reporting make it easier to communicate system behavior and relationships across disciplines, supporting clearer decision-making throughout the development lifecycle.

“GENESYS 2026 focuses on addressing common challenges in scaling model-based systems engineering across complex development environments,” said Andy Henderson, principal product manager for GENESYS at Zuken. “By improving performance, accessibility, and usability, this release supports teams working with large system models and extends access to model-based information across functions.”

Expanding Access to Model-Based Information with SIDEKICK

The introduction of Collaborative MBSE marks a key step in extending MBSE across the organization. The browser-based client enables reviewers, project managers, and domain specialists to access model-derived information, track responsibilities, and contribute to structured workflows – without requiring full desktop access.

By making system models accessible to a wider range of roles, organizations can align teams around a shared, up-to-date source of truth and reduce bottlenecks caused by limited tool access.
