SPS – smart production solutions 2022

As a member of the Smart Cabinet Initiative, Zuken is committed to providing holistic solutions for the current challenges in control cabinet construction.  

As an example of the comprehensive portfolio of digitally controlled solutions for control cabinet construction, we will demonstrate in a hands-on scenario the assisted assembly of terminal rails in one-off and small batch sizes using the ELAM system supplied by our partner Armbruster Engineering.  

Additional highlights in the area of digital manufacturing and assembly will be the E3.series manufacturing extensions E3.AssemblingCockpit, E3.WiringCockpit and E3.WiringChecks, which provide the worker with all the information required for assembly, wiring and commissioning testing in paperless form via portable terminals. 

With a multitude of enhancements in the area of connector handling, 3D control cabinet design and ECAD/MCAD data exchange, E3.series release 2022 enables important advances in the areas of user efficiency and process integration.  

At sps smart production solutions 2022, we will be demonstrating the most important innovations such as the automated assignment of a busbar to the connections in the circuit diagram, connection information in the database, association of circuitry to components in the database, extended 3D display in control cabinet layout, report generator, and an enhanced application programming interface.

As a complement to E3.series, we are showing the latest version of DS-E3, the data management system for electrical engineering and fluid project data. DS-E3 provides all participants in the development process with up-to-date, validated libraries, project data, configurations and parts list information, forming a viable basis for the realization of a consistent electromechanical data model.   

With the DS-E3 StarterPackage, we will be presenting a pre-configured version of DS-E3 at the SPS, which provides an easy introduction to a controlled and user-friendly design data management practice with a central data source, secure version control and managed access rights.
