A collection of testimonials from satisfied E3.series customers
Müller Martini supplies highly flexible, customized print processing machines to the graphics industry. The Swiss-based company recently took the replacement of an end-of-life CAD installation as an opportunity to re-engineer established procedures in electrical engineering and handover to production.
Kellenberger develops and produces numerically-controlled precision grinding machines and systems for sectors such as automotive, medical devices and industrial machinery. The Swiss-based manufacturer recently introduced Zuken’s E3.series to automate the generation of schematics for customer-specific machine configurations, cutting the time taken by more than 90%.
BCA Leisure designs and manufactures mixed power cable harnesses for almost every UK-based OEM of caravans and motorhomes. The company has been using E3.series for a number of years and recently started using E3.cable, part of Zuken’s E3.series suite, which is now heavily relied upon during the development of 100+ different prototype harnesses each year. This is followed by provision of detailed production drawings to the shop floor.
Specialist fire rescue and emergency vehicle manufacturer, Emergency One UK Ltd, uses E3.series software for its electrical harness design. This has enabled the company to produce wire harnesses to standardize the design and manufacturing process reaping, cost savings and reliability benefits, while also delivering flexibility through modular based customization.
To improve the quality of its electrical documents such as wiring diagrams, and to raise its design efficiency, Bruker AXS GmbH Karlsruhe implemented Zuken’s E3.series at all stages. The manufacturer of X-ray analysis systems uses E3.series from concept and production to service.
Take the E3.series Tour
Zuken’s E3.series software has been designed specifically to meet the needs of today’s electrical design engineer. E3.series is a database approach to all electrical and pneumatic design. The schematic capture tool is second to none, with connections made easily via auto-connect and multi-connect functionality. Complex tasks are made easy with E3.series – adding new wires to our design is as easy as drag and drop.
Had we not switched to E3.series and been able to improve our operational efficiencies I don’t think we’d feel as confident about the future. As it is we’re able to better accommodate changes in the supply chain and provide a fast and cost-effective service for our customers.
Martin PricePurchasing and IT Director at BCA Leisure
Whenever we needed anything, they [Zuken] were always quick to help out. We are delighted with the support provided. The same applies to the ongoing development of the system.
Matthias BinkeleBruker AXS
The detailed schematic reduces the time we spend answering customer questions as a result of the quality of documentation, which has allowed us to reduce costs associated with customer support. We also anticipate reduced downtime involved in repairs due to the superior quality of the schematics.
Graeme ShieldsDesign Manager at Emergency One
With E3.series it is now possible to filter an individual schematic for any customer specific machine configurations, resulting in a reduction from 4-8 hours to around 5-30 minutes.
Roman SurerEngineering Hardware, Kellenberger
The most important argument in favor of E3.series is its strength in the area of options and variants. Up to 80% of all our variants can now be represented in the feature tree of one single project.
Markus HusnerHead of Control Systems Technology, Müller Martini
The days of non-intelligent drawing packages are over. We need better tools that can offer design reuse, bring about standardization, and can still deliver flexibility - like E3.series. We also need partners like Zuken who are willing to listen, learn, communicate and be proactive in regards to meeting our needs.
