After a pandemic break, this year's FED Conference took place as a live event last week in Bamberg. The conference is a gathering for the German-speaking electronic and PCB-related industry for more than 25 years, circulating across various cities in Germany and stopping this year in the charming city of Bamberg.
One thing is for sure, extraordinary circumstances require creative approaches. Like many trade shows in the Corona year 2020, the SPS - one of the leading trade shows in the area of industrial automation – had to resort to a digital format.
Due to the pandemic, the annual SPS automation trade fair will not take place physically. However, there will be an online-alternative: the SPS Connect, starting on the same day.
Today we can look back on a successful ZIW Digital Germany. We all connected, shared, learned, and grew as individuals – and as a community. We were able to achieve all of this amid a global pandemic, affecting all of us around the globe.
Back in a January post, I listed some of the top reasons to attend Zuken Innovation World Americas 2019. Now that the conference is over and we’re taking a closer look, I’m pleased to say that we didn’t miss a beat. Here are some of the highlights from the event along with first-hand participant feedback.
As part of the Technology Research Team at Zuken Technology Centre (ZTC) Bristol, my role is to innovate and improve on Zuken’s routing and placement tools using new technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. One downside is that I have less contact with Zuken customers than I’d like. This meant I jumped at the chance to attend Zuken Innovation World (ZIW) UK last year, for the first time.
