36th Annual INCOSE International Symposium

The INCOSE International Symposium is the premier international forum where practitioners, researchers, and educators share their insights, experiences, and innovations, furthering the practice of systems engineering. The symposium has occurred every year since 1991 and is the largest annual gathering of the systems engineering community.

About INCOSE

The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is a not-for-profit membership organization founded to develop and disseminate the transdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems. INCOSE is designed to connect systems engineering professionals with educational, networking, and career-advancement opportunities in the interest of developing the global community of systems engineers and systems approaches to problems. We are also focused on producing state-of-the-art work products that support and enhance the visibility of this discipline in the world.

Session: Beyond the Model: Human Factors in Successful Systems Engineering and Product Management

Description:

Delivering complex software products takes more than technical rigor. It requires balancing systems engineering with human factors. This session shows why traditional SE and MBSE can falter when isolated and offers practical strategies such as purpose-driven modeling, layered abstraction, and role-specific artifacts to accelerate decision-making, reduce rework, and foster agile collaboration.
