Rebecca Morrison’s career in marketing is just getting started, but her story with Zuken began before she officially joined the team.
In August 2025, Rebecca came to Zuken as a digital marketing intern after finishing her degree at Baylor University, where she double majored in marketing and management. Less than a year later, degree in hand, she officially joined Zuken USA as a Marketing Communications Specialist in April 2026.
What started as an internship soon became the first chapter of Rebecca’s professional career. And so far? Pretty solid start.
Plot Twist: The Internship Became a Career
Rebecca’s internship gave her an early look at what marketing for an engineering software company actually involves.
Spoiler: it’s a little bit of everything.
Working alongside the Zuken USA marketing team gave her hands-on experience with the projects happening every day. Along the way, she also got to know the people she would eventually call her teammates.
By the time she stepped into her full-time role in April, she wasn’t exactly starting from square one. She already knew the team, understood the rhythm of the work, and was ready to trade the intern title for something a little more permanent.
So, What Doesn’t Marketing Do?

That might be the easier question.
Because Rebecca supports almost every area of Zuken USA’s marketing efforts, there really isn’t one version of a typical day. She usually starts by checking her email and figuring out what needs her attention first. From there, the plan can change pretty quickly.
Some days are focused on creating social content or preparing Zuken USA’s weekly update email. Others might revolve around an upcoming webinar, training, or event. She also designs marketing assets and helps review messaging to make sure what goes out is clear and accurate.
Then there are the unexpected requests that inevitably appear.
Basically, there’s the to-do list Rebecca starts with in the morning. And then there’s the to-do list by 5 p.m.
The Team Passed the Vibe Check

Ask Rebecca about her favorite part of working at Zuken, and she doesn’t hesitate: it’s the people.
For someone at the beginning of her career, having the right people around her has made a massive impact.
Her review of the marketing team? 10/10, no notes.
“What I enjoy most about working on the marketing team is the people,” Rebecca says. “Everyone brings different skills and perspectives, and we work together to keep projects moving and support one another when new priorities come up.”
Being part of that team has also given her a place where she can learn, ask questions, and bring her own ideas to the table.
…We promise we didn’t make her say that.
When the Group Project Pays Off

One experience already stands out from Rebecca’s first year with Zuken: Zuken Innovation World 2026 in Dallas.
A lot happens behind the scenes before ZIW ever opens its doors. Rebecca got an up-close look at that process as the marketing team spent months promoting the event and preparing for everyone to arrive. Then event week came, and all that work suddenly became real.
Technical sessions were underway. Customers were connecting with Zuken experts. Months of planning had turned into an event happening right in front of her.
“It was amazing to see all of our behind-the-scenes work that went into preparing for the event come to life,” Rebecca says.
For one of her first major events as a marketer, it was a pretty great way to see why the behind-the-scenes work matters. What starts as another project on the marketing calendar eventually becomes something hundreds of people get to experience.
And in this case, that something was ZIW.

Currently: Astros, Pickleball, and Trying New Food
Eventually, the marketing to-do list closes.
When it does, Rebecca trades Team Zuken for some of her other favorite teams. As a Houston sports fan, she’s always ready to cheer on her hometown teams, especially the Astros. She also enjoys playing pickleball and has recently become more adventurous about trying new foods.
So far, Rebecca’s first chapter at Zuken has taken her from intern to full-time marketer, with her first ZIW and plenty of unexpected projects already checked off along the way.
Not bad for her first year. And she’s only getting started.

Rebecca may be just getting started, but there are plenty more stories to tell. Stay tuned as we continue introducing the people behind the work happening every day at Zuken.
