Generating Cabling Documentation


This training is for users who:

  • Design cabling plans
  • Are responsible for the E³.series library


  • Knowledge of your operating system used.

What You Learn

  • During this training session you will learn how to work with E³.cable to create cabling documentation.


  • E³.cable Overview 
  • Working with blocks: selecting, moving, modifying blocks 
  • Handling connectors: selecting, moving on the block, splitting, merging 
  • Mating Connectors, Connector Pin Terminals 
  • Connections: Cable connections, multiple and single connections 
  • Assigning attributes to cables, connections, components and blocks 
  • Drawing cable harnesses, working with different views 
  • Default reports and lists 
  • Exercises

Training Length

  • The action packed training last for three days (2 days E³.schematic training and 1 day E³.cable)

  • E³. panel – Panel layout and wiring 
  • E³.dbe (database) – Creating symbols and components 
  • E³.panel dbe (database) – Creating models for the panel layout 
  • E³.API – Using E³.series’ COM Methods with Visual Basic Script
