Electrical engineering meets the workshop

10 November - Landsberg am Lech

Automation starts long before the workshop

It starts with engineering data that is structured, reliable and ready to be used downstream.

When electrical design and production work from disconnected information, every handover adds effort. The answer is not automation for its own sake. It is a practical digital workflow in which data created during engineering can support machining, assembly, wiring, marking and documentation.

This joint event from Zuken and Phoenix Contact follows that workflow from the design environment to real production stations—so you can see where value is created, what implementation involves and where your own journey could begin.

See the digital workflow in action

The event uses the digital twin of the control cabinet as a working concept: a purposeful digital representation whose engineering and manufacturing data can be used in the real production process.

After the introductory sessions, you will move into the production environment. You can work with the stations and manufacturing equipment yourself and see E3.series engineering and production tools applied to a concrete example.

What you will take away

  • A clearer next step for your own process
  • A practical view of how engineering data can be reused across cabinet production
  • A framework for evaluating different levels of digitalisation and automation
  • First-hand experience of the workflow on real workstations and manufacturing equipment
  • Direct access to specialists in electrical engineering, workshop equipment, tools and marking solutions.

This event is designed for companies that want to improve the connection between control cabinet engineering and production.
