Tech Tip: How to Upload Design Documents to Windchill with the DS-CR PLM Interface

Menu

Zuken’s DS-CR PDM (Product Data Management) system integrates with Windchill’s API to transfer design data including schematics, layouts, parts lists, and related document files. It eases the time-consuming task of manually uploading data sourced from DS-CR to the Windchill PLM system. Product CAD data is needed throughout the enterprise for business functions such as production and supply chain management. A large enterprise has 100’s of people that need accurate, detailed information to purchase parts and manage the production processes necessary to deliver a product to customers. Connecting the CAD PDM systems to the Enterprise PLM systems enables efficient business processes that get the right information to the right people at the right time. The PLM Interface between DS-CR and Windchill provides the necessary connection.

This video shows how to send design artifacts from DS-CR to Windchill using the PLM Interface. DS-CR with the Windchill PLM interface enables quick, efficient transfer of design data so it can be used in the product manufacturing and supply chain processes across the enterprise.
