Meet Codie Cobb

Since joining Zuken five years ago, Codie has made his mark at Zuken. As a valuable member of the Zuken family, his contributions have helped drive our success. We are proud to have him on our team and grateful for his hard work and dedication to customer success. I had the pleasure of connecting with Codie to learn more about his journey, and I am excited to share his story.

The BeginningMeet Codie, Professional Services Manager, Zuken

In 2011, I started my career as an Electrical System Design Engineer at John Deere. I leveraged ECAD and MCAD tools to create complete electrical systems and wire harnesses for the company’s construction equipment. With six years of experience in using EDA tools, I was able to bring a fresh perspective when I joined Zuken in 2017 as a Pre-Sales Application Engineer. There, I grew to love the E3.series tool suite and realized how much it could have benefited me in my previous role. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Zuken family!

My New Role as a Professional Services Manager

As a Professional Services Manager, I lead a talented team of application engineers. Our primary focus is to drive customer enthusiasm for the E3.series tool suite and deliver flawless product implementation within their production environments. To achieve this, we proactively engage with clients, taking the time to understand their specific needs and develop customized solutions to boost their productivity. We aim to deliver exceptional customer service and support to help our clients achieve their objectives.

Helping Customers

To foster success, my goal is to understand each customer’s specific needs and objectives and then deliver customized solutions that meet those requirements. This requires combining technical expertise, communication skills, and a proactive approach to customer support. Maintaining a customer-centric mindset, actively seeking feedback, and consistently enhancing the quality of the products and services are all essential elements of the process. Effective teamwork and collaboration across different departments are also crucial to achieving customer success, and that’s definitely something Zuken fosters in the work environment.

Each Day is Different

My day typically begins with brewing my favorite espresso and attending to some household tasks, such as taking my daughter to school and feeding my tortoise, Gizmo. I enjoy the peaceful moments with my coffee and journal before diving into my workday as a Professional Services Manager. In my role, my workday is often unpredictable, which I find exciting. My responsibility is to ensure that our customers succeed, and this requires a proactive approach coupled with prompt resolutions to any issues that arise. Mid-day, I often step outside for a quick workout at the gym. I have a furry friend who enjoys helping me type up emails throughout the day. As the workday draws to a close, I prioritize email cleanup and then head off to the mountain bike trail or RC racetrack to unwind.

My Exceptional Team

Collaboration is a fundamental part of my work, as I am fortunate to be part of a team of engineers who are always willing to lend a hand. By working together, we can achieve exceptional results that lead to our customers’ success. The sense of community at Zuken is remarkable, and I enjoy being part of a supportive and dedicated family.

Most Memorable Project

One project that I managed recently was unforgettable. The customer presented a unique challenge, and we worked diligently to overcome it. As a result, they have become an excellent example of the benefits the E3.series tool suite can provide and have even pushed the boundaries of what is possible in their industry. This experience taught me many valuable project management lessons, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it.

A Wide Array of Hobbies

Codie enjoys participating in Spartan Races.

When it comes to hobbies, I have some diverse interests that keep me occupied outside of work. These include mountain biking, racing RC cars, golf, guitar, piano, 3D printing, fishing, CrossFit, and my passion for Pokémon. As a certified Pokémon Professor, I organize local card and video game tournaments. As a competitor, I also travel across the US to participate in large regional and national events. On the social front, I often head to a country dance hall with friends to enjoy live music and dancing. Recently, I joined the Big Brother program to mentor and help children in need. While I have not been matched with a little yet, I am excited to start making a positive impact in someone’s life.
