The Challenge: Solving Fictional Mesa Cerveza’s Power and Water Supply Problem

Part II of the first-ever System Architecture and Modeling Competition was held on June 5 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event allowed individuals and teams to exhibit their skills and creativity in designing and constructing a systems solution for a real-world problem. In this webinar, you will learn about the problem statement that the participants had to respond to in developing a long-term systems solution to the city of Mesa Cerveza’s water and power supply problems. You will also hear from a winner from the team that won “Most Innovative Solution,” and a judge to learn what it was like to participate in system engineering’s forged-in-fire competition.

What you’ll learn:

  • The nature and difficulty of the challenge
  • How the competition works in terms of logistics and time constraints
  • What it was like to compete and to judge

Who should attend:

  • Systems engineers
  • Model-based systems engineers
  • Systems architects
