Status:             Full-time, temporary 3-6 months

Job Description

Zuken USA Inc. is seeking a paid ECAD Librarian Intern to research, develop, and design electrical components and systems. The term of this internship is expected to be 3-6 months, with the potential to extend based on business needs and the candidate’s performance.  The role involves modeling components using various CAD tools and collaborating with the Zuken Solutions, Development, and Sales teams. Ideal candidates should have experience in electrical design and proficiency in tools like Zuken and Altium.  This position will report to our Westford, Massachusetts office, Monday-Friday during regular business hours.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsibilities include creating schematic symbols, models and components in compliance with global standards and managing components effectively
  • The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with engineering teams worldwide, making it a dynamic and rewarding opportunity
  • This role is critical in supporting our engineering and manufacturing teams by managing library standards, symbols, and electrical components, while driving consistency across all design tools and processes
  • Manage incoming requests for new components through a ticketing system
  • Review new components against existing library entries to prevent duplication
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and document library standards and best practices
  • Assess new component requests for feasibility based on assembly requirements
  • Generate and/or reuse symbols and components in a scalable and efficient manner
  • Support component engineers in evaluating component alterations and replacements
  • Maintain smooth workflow for component requests and ensure timely responses
  • Assist engineering teams with custom component definitions
  • Your expertise will help us streamline workflows, reduce errors, and maintain world-class standards in electrical design

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of experience with ECAD systems, preferably using Zuken or similar tools
  • Certifications or strong experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
  • Ability to work weekdays during regular business hours at our Westford, Massachusetts, corporate office.
