Selecting Several Texts when Inputting through Properties Dialogs

When filling a field by using the text database, for example in the Sheet Properties..., it is possible for several attributes to insert several texts from the text database.

 

 

Ctrl+Return generates a line break.

It is also possible to select from a list containing available values (arrow button or Alt - arrow down).

 

Unlike when calling up the text translation dialog by pressing the button, the entry here is overwritten.

 

Translatable Texts in Properties Dialogs

Click on the Entry field containing a translatable text and press either the button or F3 to access the text database and display the Translation Table dialog box.

 

As in Database Editor mode individual columns can be sorted in ascending or descending order and a filter can be defined. Texts can be selected from the database.

Text Display Depending on Edit or Preview Mode

As long as nothing is edited, the field displays the real text as it is displayed in the drawing.

 

 

As soon as the user clicks into the entry field to modify the text, the text is displayed as text number.

 

 

Upon completion of the entry and finishing the edit mode, the text is displayed in the language defined.

 

Predefined Attribute Values

It is possible to define a list in database with "valid attribute values". The selection list for attribute values in project then contains those values predefined in the list.

In general, the attribute lists created in DBE can be used in the project in all dialogs, in which attributes can be assigned.

 

When an attribute list was assigned to a certain attribute in DBE, this list is displayed as selection for this certain attribute in the project.

 

When an attribute list was assigned to an attribute of a component/symbol in DBE, this list can be used in the project only in the Device / Symbol Properties of the respective component/symbol.
