Wire Materials - Wire Kind

Detailed information on the consistency of wires, pins and components are defined in Database Editor Mode.

To define or edit wire materials for electrical calculations,

select the Format -> Wire Materials command from the Main Menu bar and switch to the Wire Kind tab.

The following dialog is displayed:

Wire Kind
Wire Kind	Defines the unique number which describes the properties of a wire more detailed.
Description	Defines the description, e.g. material codes for electrical wires, for wire material. The corresponding translation of this description can be defined under Format -> Multilingual Descriptions -> Wire Kinds. When a description exists in the currently defined user interface language, it is used in the selection list and when displaying the Wire Kind attribute. When no description is available, the unique number of the wire kind is displayed.
Inner Material	The inner material can be selected from the drop-down list. This list contains all materials that are defined under Wire Materials -> Material -> Material.
Outer Material	The outer material can be selected from the drop-down list. This list contains all materials that are defined under Wire Materials -> Material -> Material.
Allowed temperature [degree C]	Defines the maximum allowed temperature of the selected wire kind.
Melting temperature [degree C]	Defines the melting temperature at which the selected wire kind would melt.
Add Wire Kind/Delete Wire Kind	To delete or add a wire kind, right-click on the left (gray) column of the table and select the Add wire kind... or Delete wire kind command from the displayed context menu.
