Wire Materials - Material

First of all, detailed information on the consistency of wires, pins and components are defined in Database Editor Mode.

 

To define or edit wire materials for electrical calculations,

• select the Format -> Wire Materials command from the Main Menu bar and switch to the Material tab.

   

  The following dialog is displayed:

   

  

 

Material
Material	Defines the name of the material.
Resistivity temperature [1/C]	Defines the resistivity temperature (temperature coefficient) of the material at 20 degrees Celsius.
Thermal capacity [J/(C*g)]	Defines how much heat energy per temperature change can be absorbed by the material.
Gravity [mg/mm³]	Defines the material's gravity/volume ratio.
Thermal resistance [C*mm/W]	Defines a material's ability to resists the flow of heat.
Specific Resistance [Ohm x mm²/m]	Defines the resistance used by and dependent on the material.
Add Material /Delete Material	To delete or add a material, right-click on the left (gray) column of the table and select the Add Material... or Delete Material command from the displayed context menu.
