Program Languages

E3.series is provided in several languages for the setup process and the user interface.

The language is defined by default when installing the software (see also: Installation Parameters in the Installation Guide). This language is then used for the setup and the user interface.

To change the language of the E3.series user interface, either open E3.series using a startup parameter or adjust the Registry.

The following describes how to change the user interface language:

Changing the user interface language using a startup parameter

To specify the language of the E3.series user interface using a startup parameter, define the parameter /language, an equal sign (=) and a valid language code.

Example

/language=01 defines American English as user interface language.

The language code used for the startup parameter is prioritized and overrides the language definition specified in the Registry.

Changing the user interface language using the Registry

To start E3.series in another language, the language definition used can be modified independent of the setup language. To do so, use the following key in the Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Zuken\E3.series\<version>

String value: Language

Value data: (language code)

By default, the user interface, which is defined within the Registry structure HKLM, is used for all users:

  • E3.series 64-bit on 64-bit Windows:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Zuken\E3.series\<version>
