User-Defined Project Windows

Depending on the number of tabs available in the Project window, the user can generate one or several new Project windows using the View -> Project Windows -> New Project Window command.

Splitting the individual tabs into several windows helps to get a better overview.

Selecting the New Project Window... command opens the Tree Control Properties dialog box.

The new tab can then be 'separated' as own window, for example, or handled just like any other window / tab using the corresponding commands.

Add Tree Control

This Project window is handled just like any other window in E3.series: It can be moved to any position, docked and hidden / shown.

This Project window's context menu then offers the Add Tree Control command. The contents and the properties of this Project window can be defined in the displayed Tree Control Properties dialog.

Note

The different Project windows, the trees and their structure are defined in project.

Position and size of those additional Project windows are stored in the workspace configuration and can be used, if required, when an additional Project window is generated in E3 or required when opening a project.

Only the main Project window is stored in the workspace configuration. Thus, the mainly used configuration of the tree views should be defined in the main Project window.
