Text Type 'Reference to Pin Number'

This text type is a variable text. On a normal symbol, typically a contact arrangement, fix texts displaying the pin names can be replaced by texts of type Reference to pin number (1070).

 

Using the Text Assignment command on a component, these texts can be assigned to a pin name on another symbol.

 

Changing the pin name also affects these texts. The pin names can be renamed using the Text Properties... of such a text or the Symbol Properties... of such a symbol.

 

It is also possible to assign this text type to a connector's master symbol. These texts always display the currently valid name of the pin to which they are assigned. Connector pins are always assigned according to their node order.

 

Changeable pin names can be modified on the pin itself or on the master symbol using the Text Properties... command or F2.
