Defining Hyperlinks
Highlight Any Text a Schematic Object (e.g. Sheet, Symbol) as Jump Label
To highlight any text with a schematic object as a jump label, the following objects can be used:

-
Document
-
Sheet
-
Symbol
The assignment takes place using the Mark for Hyperlink command on one of the above-mentioned objects in the Device or Sheet Tree.
Afterwards, this object is highlighted in the color defined in Settings -> General -> Highlight. The colored highlighting can be reset using the Reset Highlight command.
To create the hyperlink, proceed as follows:

select the Insert Text command from the Main Menu bar or hotkey T, or
The respective dialog appears in which the type of hyperlink and the corresponding target can be defined:

right-click on the desired text to be defined as hyperlink in the drawing and select the Text Properties command from the displayed context menu.

Select the desired type of hyperlink. The following types are available:
When changing the entry to <no entry>, the assigned hyperlink will be deleted for the selected text. |

The desired target, to which the hyperlink should point, can be selected from the selection list. One can also select the <marked object> in order to define the marked object as the target beforehand using Mark for Hyperlink. |

Click on the push button to open the dialog from which the desired file can be selected. This push button can only be selected if the type File was selected beforehand as the Type of Hyperlink. |
Regarding PDF Export

Hyperlinks to external documents are not displayed because PDF Export doesn't support external documents.

Hyperlinks only work for objects placed on other sheets.
Defining Hyperlink Properties
Open the Tools -> Settings -> General -> Highlight dialog in order to define the hyperlink properties for the project:

The hyperlink's target is displayed in the tool tip when moving the cursor over the text.
Opening Hyperlinks
Right-click on the displayed hyperlink and select the command Open Hyperlink in the context menu to open the defined object in the Text Properties. Hyperlinks can also be opened using CTRL+Left Mouse Button.
Referencing Files via "Hyperlink" Attribute
Using the Hyperlink attribute, it is also possible to create a link to another document (PDF, Word, Homepage, etc.).
Through the Open Hyperlink command on the object, to which this attribute was assigned, the corresponding document can then be opened or started. This command also appears in the Database Window context menu, if the Hyperlink attribute has been defined for a component.
Right-click on a component in the DB Window and select the Open Hyperlink command to open the defined hyperlink in the database. This enables the data sheet to be used when searching for a component without having to load the component in the project.
This attribute can be assigned to various objects (such as symbols, devices, blocks, etc.) using the Properties dialog:
To create a reference to a file using a hyperlink, assign the Hyperlink attribute to the corresponding object and click then on the symbol to open the following dialog, in which any file can be selected:

To link to a web site, the address must be "manually" defined in the Entry field of the Property dialog.
Then right-click on the displayed text and select the Open Hyperlink command from the displayed context menu to open or to start the corresponding document:

A default directory can be defined in Tools -> Settings -> General -> Default Directories. All hyperlinks that don't start with http:; https:; ftp:; ftps: or sftp: and don't contain a \ character are interpreted as file from this directory.
