Opening a Multi-User Project

This functionality is only available, if a E3.enterprise license is present!

 

To open a multi-user project,

• select File -> Open Multi-user Project... from the Main Menu bar.

   

  The following dialog box will be displayed:

   

  

 

Open multi-user project
Project name	The project to be opened can be selected from the Project name field.   The project structure is displayed containing all existing folders and sub-folders (created in MuAdminTool) and all projects available.   The icon in front of the projects represent the project's status and access authorization. For more information, please click here.   Define a filter term to only display projects with certain names. Projects that don't match the filter are automatically hidden.
Description	Displays the description of the selected project to be opened.   Define a filter term to only display projects with certain descriptions. Projects that don't match the filter are automatically hidden.
Project is in exclusive mode, last opened by...	When a project is opened in exclusive mode, the last user is displayed.   When opening a multi-user project, a message is displayed in the Results window if the project was previously opened by another user in exclusive mode. In this case the last settings are also returned.

 

Exclusive mode

In E3.series it is possible to assign local option and variant settings to clients.

 

To be able to display the automatic references or terminal plans according to the local user settings, a multi-user project can be opened in Exclusive mode.

• In exclusive mode, the server guarantees that only one user can access a project.

• All automatic references as well as terminal plans are recalculated and displayed according to the current user settings.
