Component Classification
Each component class defined in the database can be classified in more detail.
The component classification can be defined in the Database Editor. The dialog displays all database classes. After selecting the class to be defined, the Add classification command is selected in the context menu displayed after right-clicking on the class.
To display / modify the Component Classification dialog,

select the Format -> Component Classification... command from the Main Menu bar.
The following dialog will be displayed:
(The displayed classes correspond to the Class column in the ComponentData section of the components.mdb file.)

The displayed table contains all component classes available in the currently active Component database. |
Use in tree |
When this option is checked, the selected classification is used in the database tree. |
Use in search |
When this option is checked, the selected classification is used for the search.

Add classification |
Right-click on the desired class and select the Add classification command from the displayed context menu to define the classification of this class.
To define the classification, double-click or press F2 with the corresponding field selected. A drop-down list is displayed containing all attributes available in the database. |
Remove classification |
Right-click on the desired class and select the Remove classification command from the displayed context menu to delete classification layers that are no longer valid. |

The checkbox in front of the attribute defines whether the attribute must be available for this class.
When this option is checked, all new attributes of this class are automatically assigned this attribute.
If the database tree is structured, the classification layers defined can be selected as structure option in the Database Tree Structure: <Classification>. |
Press F5 to reload classifications! |
When the component classification has been modified or newly defined, press F5 to reload the changes. |
