Edit Color Definitions

Color definitions can only be changed in Database Mode.

 

Enter the Database mode by selecting the Start Database Editor command on the Tools Menu on the Main Menu Bar.

 

Start the Edit Color Definitions... dialog from the Format Menu on the Main Menu Bar to define default color, style and width for various objects in the drawing.

 

 

Edit Color Definitions

Object Type

Defines the object type.

 

Object type descriptions (selection):

 

Cursor

Description: This setting is used for special actions taken by the cursor.

 

Example

Placement, Rubberbanding, etc.

 

Note

Not valid for mouse gestures.

 

Incorrect Elements

Description: This setting is used for the line types selected while drawing connect lines (the color definition is not evaluated).

 

Default

Description: This setting is used when editing specific symbols in the database editor for which no specific default color setting is available.

 

Example

Node template symbols.

Color

Defines the color to be used for the selected object type. 256 colors are available for selection.

 

Note

The color index can be displayed with a tooltip by moving the cursor over the color to be selected.

Line type

Defines the line style to be used.

The style can be selected from the drop-down list.
