Zuken seeks an Applications Engineer to support Zuken’s E3.series.

Reports to:      Manager, E3 Support and Services

Education:       BSEE, BSCS, or Equivalent

Location:         USA, Detroit Michigan region home office preferred

Status:             Full-time

Job Description

Provide application technical expertise relative to the sale, deployment, and support of Zuken’s E3.series software suite to a wide range of North American industries (automotive, military, aerospace, machinery, power). The E3.series software suite focuses on the design and verification of electro-mechanical control schematics, control panel layouts, interconnection diagrams, wiring, cabling, and wire harness assemblies.

Primary job responsibilities include gathering, assessing, and documenting customer requirements, assisting a customer with implementing E3.series solution, troubleshooting and resolving customer usage topics, managing and tracking support tickets, and providing day-to-day customer support once a solution is implemented.

Secondary job responsibilities include presenting and demonstrating a solution to meet customer requirements, assisting with the development of technical proposals, and assisting the Sales team with customer evaluations and studies.

Qualifications

Minimum:  Five years’ experience as a field applications engineer or design engineer.  Hands-on CAD experience with one or more schematic capture tools. Technical writing and or software specification development experience.

Preferred:  Five + years’ experience as a field applications engineer focused on cabling and wire harness design.  Programming experience with Visual Basic and the .NET framework.  Knowledge of Access, SQL and Oracle database design, setup and manipulation.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.  Must be capable of working in both a team environment and individually.  Strong customer relations skills a must.  The ideal candidate will spend 25% to 50% on-site with Zuken customers in multiple locations within North America.
