CR-8000 Component Editor
The use of common library data throughout the entire design cycle is an essential element of any design flow. The CR-8000 Component Editor offers fast and easy component creation and management tools for all aspects of your logical to physical part data requirements. The software is configurable and scalable, providing support for company specific requirements in either single-site or multi-site installations.
- Common data is used throughout the design process to eliminate errors.
- Library Searcher enables you to find information that meets the specified condition(s), thereby preventing the addition of unnecessary new components, resulting in lower inventory and better purchasing power.
- Parametric wizards reduce time to create complex shapes for both logical and physical information (e.g. BGAs)
Component Editor ensures that data such as logical properties, schematic symbols, pin allocations, gate information, and PCB footprints are quickly and easily created and registered. The linking of, and mutual relationships between, logical property information and component shape information can be easily confirmed using a tree view display. The footprint editor has the same operational look and feel as Design Force, including the ability to view footprints and padstacks in 3D.
Each design process potentially requires information of a different nature. Component Editor can register various kinds of component information within the libraries and then manage the information consistently, even among the different design sub systems. Wizards speed the creation of footprints for everything from BGAs to D-type connectors. Wizards for parametric creation of padstacks are also available. Component Editor’s support for a centrally managed common library ensures that library consistency is maintained across multiple locations. Functionality includes comparison, copying and deletion of duplicate component information.
The CR-8000 Component Editor is compatible with the CR-5000 Components Manager. All command and batch functions available with Components Manager are also available in Component Editor.
