Display Mode of Conductor Logic Lines

Display Conductor Logic Lines of Open or Connected Conductors within the entire Project

For displaying conductor logic lines within the entire project, activate the check box in the settings via Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Cable/Conductor Logic Lines within the area Cables/Conductors.

  • Display open conductors (without graphical connection line):

    or

  • Display laid conductors also (laid conductors on graphical connection line):

Display Conductor Logic Lines for Selected Signals

It is possible to display single conductor logic lines of a signal on a pin or optionally all signals of a device.

Thus, the signal sequence can be tracked detailed even over multiple sheets.

For this, the following symbols are available in the Display Toolbar:

  • Display Signals
Alternatively by clicking the key F6

  • Reset display signals
Alternatively by clicking the key combination SHIFT+F6

Note

  • At least one wire must be applied to the connection line

  • This function is inactive on panel sheets

  • When closing a project or importing/writing a subcircuit (E3D), already displayed conductor logic lines are not saved

Display Conductor Logic Lines of Signal on a Pin

Displaying the conductor logic line of signal on a pin can be arranged as follows:

  • Left-click on the symbol Display Signals
    or use the key F6,

  • afterwards click with the left mouse cursor on the small square placed in front of the single pin (all pins where a conductor/ wire is applied):

Note

  • The conductor logic lines of the used signal (signal #7 in the example) are displayed within the entire project

  • This function is also possible in the device tree and in the pin table:

    • For this, right-click on the desired pin symbol (multi-select is also possible) and select the command Highlight Conductor Logic Lines of Signal within the context menu afterwards.

Display Conductor Logic Lines of all Signals on a Device

Displaying all conductor logic lines of all signals on a device can be arranged as follows:

  • Left-click on the symbol Display Signals
    or use the key F6,

  • afterwards click with the left mouse cursor on a symbol of the device:

Note

  • The conductor logic lines of the used signals (signals #7, #8, #9, #10 in the example) are displayed in the entire project

  • This function is also possible in the device tree and in the device table:

    • For this, right-click on the desired device symbol (multi-select is also possible) and select the command Highlight Conductor Logic Lines of Signal within the context menu afterwards.

Display Conductor Logic Lines of a Signal via the Signal Tree

Displaying the conductor logic lines of a signal via the signal tree can be arranged as follows:

  • Right-click on the desired signal within the signal tree (multi-select is also possible),

  • afterwards select the command Highlight Conductor Logic Lines of Signal within the context menu:

Note

The conductor logic lines of the selected signals are displayed in the entire project

Fade-out Conductor Logic Lines of all Signals

Conductor logic lines of all signals can be faded-out as follows:

  • Left-click on the symbol Reset Display Signals
or use the key combination SHIFT+F6

Continue to Show already Displayed Conductor Logic Lines

There is the option to continue with showing already displayed conductor logic lines:

For this, activate the check box Keep existing conductor logic lines of signal within the area Conductor Logic Lines of Signal in the settings under Tools -> Settings -> Connection - Cables-/Conductors Logic Lines
