Warning messages for missing attributes

When this option is checked, the length for twisted pairs can be calculated. If no appropriate attributes for the twisted pairs are defined, a warning message appears. Deactivate this option, when no warning messages shall be displayed.

Segment diameter

Ignore unplaced conductors / wires of dynamic cables

If this check box is unchecked, the dynamic cable's unplaced conductors/wires are calculated and displayed in the Segment diameter preview:

 

 

If this check box is checked, only the dynamic cable's placed conductors/wires are calculated and correspondingly displayed in the Segment diameter preview:

 

 

 

Note

The calculated segment diameter of cables containing wires with different outer diameters is an approximate value to the minimum. The value does not state the exact minimum diameter.

 

Ignore bundle of dynamic cables

If this check box is unchecked, the dynamic cable bundling is displayed in the preview and the segment diameter correspondingly calculated:

 

 

If this check box is checked, the dynamic cable bundling is ignored in the preview and the segment diameter correspondingly calculated:

The calculated segment diameter of cables containing wires with different outer diameters is an approximate value to the minimum. The value does not state the exact minimum diameter.

 

The setting can temporarily be changed in the dialog Connection Properties - Net to reflect the changes of the segment diameter.

Ignore bundle of cables with component code

When this option is checked, bundles of cables that are saved in the database are ignored upon calculating the segment diameter.

The calculated segment diameter of cables with wires containing different outer diameters is an approximate value to the minimum. The value doesn't state the exact minimum diameter.

 

The setting can temporarily be changed in the dialog Connection Properties - Net to reflect the changes of the segment diameter.

Useconductors/wires from dynamic cable for cable duct fill

If the check box is inactive, the conductors/wires of a dynamic cable are not considered for the cable duct filling degree calculation.

 

For the filling degree calculation the outer diameter of the cable is used.

 

Note

An outer diameter must also be defined for the cable, otherwise the outer diameter of the conductors are used.

 

Example

 

 

If the check box is active, the conductors/wires of a dynamic cable are considered for the cable duct filling degree calculation.

 

It also checks whether all conductors of a dynamic cable are placed in a cable duct segment. If this is the case, the outer diameter of the coresconductors/wires of the dynamic cable is used for the calculation.

 

Note

While wiring, the outer diameter of the cable is not considered.
