Restore Visibility

To restore the variant/option, package or configuration checkbox setting, i.e. the visibility, for the project,

  • right-click on the project name in the Variants/Options tree view,

  • select the Restore Visibility command from the context menu and

  • complete the following dialog box:

     

 

The visibility of all variants/options in project is defined according to the information from the file assigned using the name.

 

A corresponding message appears, when variants & options are not found or cannot be loaded.

Search in

Select drive and folder to look for the file.

File name

Enter the file name.

Files of type

Possible file types to be read:

  • *.voc file (variant option configuration)

  • *.xml file (extensible markup language)

Open/Cancel

Select Open to open the desired file, or Cancel to abort the action.

 

Note

The Restore Visibility command can read both the *.voc file format as well as the *.xml file format.

 

When importing, the visibility of the individual structure elements is compared and correspondingly used for existing elements.

 

Import Structure

To load the variant/option, package or configuration checkbox setting, i.e. the structure of the elements as an XML file:

  • right-click on the project name in the Variants/Options tree view,

  • select the Import structure... command from the displayed context menu and

  • complete the following dialog box:

Look in

Select drive and folder to look for the file.

File name

Enter the file name.

Files of type

The predefined file type is a *.xml file.

Open/Cancel

Select Open to open the desired file, or Cancel to abort the action.

 

Note

When importing the XML file into an existing structure, the system checks to see what can be used from the existing project.

 

All other elements are correspondingly created and added to the existing project.
