Purge
When executing the Purge unused objects command, a dialog appears to define which unused objects are to be automatically removed from the project.
To open the Purge dialog box,

right-click on the project name in any tab of the Project window and

select the Purge unused objects command from the displayed context menu
The following dialog box appears:
This dialog defines which objects are automatically removed from the project when executing the Purge unused objects command.
Objects found that are no longer used are deleted and listed in the Output window.

Check this option to remove unused terminals from terminal strips or the complete terminal strip from project. |

Check this option to remove unused plugged devices from project. |
Unused connected devices |
Check this option to remove unused connected devices from project. |
Unused wires |
Check this option to remove unused wires from project. |
Unused cables, hoses/tubes, busbars |
Check this option to remove unused cables, hoses/tubes and busbars from project. |
Unused block devices |
Check this option to remove unused block devices from project. |
Unused components |
Check this option to remove unused components from project. Component types loaded from database but not referenced by any device in the project are deleted. |
Unused cable types, hose/tube types, busbar types |
Check this option to remove unused cable types, hose/tube types and busbar types from project. Cables to which none of the conductors contained is connected are also deleted. |
Unused symbol types |
Check this option to remove unused symbols loaded from the database but no longer graphically placed in the project from project. |
Unused signals |
Check this option to remove unused signals that are no longer referenced by pins or connections from project. |
Unused attribute names |
Check this option to remove unused attribute names that are no longer defined in the current database and of which no more values are assigned to corresponding owner in the project from project. |
Unused pin views |
Check this option to remove unused connector pin views from project.
If an original connector pin is unplaced and a corresponding connector pin view is still placed and the option is active, the first placed connector pin view is assigned to the unplaced original connector pin. The original connector pin is thus placed and the assigned connector pin view to the original connector pin is deleted from the project.
If this option is not active, nothing is assigned and the connector pin view remains in the project. |

No longer valid attribute values |
Check this option to remove all attribute values from project that are no longer valid. |
