Database Structure
Different component types have different classification characteristics.
For example, a Siemens contactor is classified according to its power and number of contacts, an Intel processor according to its pulse frequency and temperature and a Deutsch connector according to male/female connector and number of poles.
The database structure can be defined according to different classification characteristics:
-
Component classes can be specified when configuring the database, which classifying attributes are permitted and which are actually mandatory.
-
These classifying attributes have a "priority" for each class, which defines the display or definition order of the Database tree's structure.
-
Applicable database tree structure definitions are stored in the configuration database, so that the user can use predefined structures in the project (and thus doesn't have to configure them himself).
