1. General

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Zuken UK is the lead Zuken organisation for this website, acting as the Data Controller.

The Zuken UK Limited (hereinafter referred to as „Zuken“) values the protection of your personal data. With this privacy policy we want to make transparent what data we are processing when you are visiting our website.

 

2. Processing of personal data

Personal data is information that may directly or indirectly identify a single person or can be used to draw conclusions about an individual. Common examples are names and postal addresses. Listed below are all common instances in which we may process personal data. Supplementary information is available on some of our subpages which offer more specialised services.

a) Basic access data and client information

Because of technical reasons it’s necessary to process certain data with each visit of our website (metadata). This data is necessary to establish a connection between our servers and your access device. This processing activity is covered by Art. 8 Sec. 1 lit. a of the e-Privacy Regulation. The following data or data categories may be processed:

  • Name of the visited webpage
  • Date and time of your visit
  • Browser type and version
  • Used operating system
  • Refferer-URL
  • ip address

This data is then processed within Google Analytics and our Marketing Automation software. If you so choose you can decide to de-activate these cookies using our cookie management tools. See the Cookie section below for instructions. Further information on Google Analytics is also below.

 

b) Contact Form

If you use our contact form we will collect the following personal identifiable information:

  • salutation
  • first and last name
  • company
  • country
  • state
  • email address
  • telephone number

Additionally we will collect everything you include in the free text message field of our contact form. If you include personal identifiable information in the message field we will collect it alongside the above mentioned data. All information will be stored as long as it is necessary for processing your inquiry to us. Data will be deleted according to section 6 “Period of retention”.

Upon submitting the registration form we shall:

  • share your data with a local Zuken office or Zuken reseller, determind by the Country selected within the registration form 
  • score your activity based on your submitted data and activity (pages visited) on the website to help determine your interest in Zuken

Should you wish NOT to consent to us processing and storing your data you can update your settings in our preference centre to:

  • de-select 'I agree to share my data with Resellers'
  • de-select 'I agree to profilng'

Should you choose to you can decide NOT to submit the registration form you can choose instead to send an email to privacy@zuken.com.

 

c) Newsletter

We offer regular news about events, webinars, special offers and other relevant information via email. If you are interested in receiving such information you may sign-up for our newsletter service by submitting your email address and country via our 'Preference Centre' and selecting the 'Newsletter' option.

The processing activities are covered by Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. a GDPR. The following data will be requested at sign-up to receive the newsletter:

  • email address*
  • country*
  • first and last name
  • company
  • one or more areas of product interest

NOTES

  • In addition to your email address we also require your 'Country' in order to allow us to understand the processing requirements for your location.
  • If you sign-up from a country requiring 'double opt-in' you will receive a confirmation email with an activation button. Please select this 'CONFIRM' button to ensure it was you who made the request. By visiting the resulting link you complete registration and consent to receiving the newsletter. (double opt-in).
    • Countries that currently require double opt-in include:
      Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Honk Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand

d) Webinars / White Papers / Software

If you register to receive our gated content items we will collect the following personal identifiable information to help qualify your interest.

  • first and last name
  • company
  • country* (Required to help us determine your local Zuken representative in order to best service your needs)
  • email address* (Required to deliver the requested asset)
  • telephone**
  • state**

** telephone and state are only required on limited forms.
 

Product-specific email opt-in

In addition, we will also give you the opportunity to opt-in to receive email communications related to the product you are accessing the resource for. The specific product will be expressed in the specific form.Selection of this check box will update your preferences within the Zuken Preference Centre, to indicate your desire to receive emails relating to the specifc product AND the general newsletter. If you sign-up from a country requiring 'double opt-in' you will receive a confirmation email with an activation button.

  • event specific data... ***

f) CADSTAR Software Authorisation

CADSTAR customers with a valid maintenance contract may request CADSTAR License Authorizations, required to activate the CADSTAR software, by completing and submitting the authorisation request form. The data processing is covered by Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. b GDPR. To complete the form the user must provide the following information:

  • local Zuken office or distributor
  • CADSTAR version
  • node id
  • salutation
  • first and last name
  • address
  • country
  • state
  • email address
  • telephone number

 This information will then be shared to the appropriate Zuken office or reseller as required to generate or request your license on your behalf.

 

g) Cookies

Cookies are text files which can be used to store any kind of information on your computer, mobile phone or tablet. This information is necessary for providing information society services on our website as well as ensuring the error-free functionality of those. This includes the detection and localisation of errors as well as troubleshooting measures. These processing activities are covered by Art. 8 Sec. 1 lit. c & d of the e-Privacy Regulation. You may block us from storing and using cookies on your device by changing your settings within our supplied Cookie Management tool (see C'ookie Settings' button below, or by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. Please consult the user manual of your browser for specifics on how to block cookies in your browser. Blocking of cookies might result in a diminished user experience or misbehaviour of certain features on our website.

h) Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool of Google Inc. Google Analytics utilizes different techniques to analyse user behaviour on our website. While doing so personal data is being transferred to and stored on servers run by Google Inc. in the USA. However before any data is transferred we truncate the last octet (the last three digits) of your ip-address. These processing activities are covered by Art. 8 Sec. 1 lit. b of the e-Privacy Regulation and thus only with your explicit consent. 3. Categories of recipients of personal data

We may transfer personal data to the following categories of recipients:

  • Public sector entities due to legal requirements.
  • Affiliates for contractual performance or for providing information society services, including but not limited to Zuken offices and Zuken Resellers.
  • Processors within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR in the course of commissioned data processing.
  • Other third parties for auxiliaries.

  

4. Transfer to third countries

Personal data will be transferred to countries outside of the European Union or the EEA on the basis of:

  • an adequacy decision by the Commission within the meaning of Art. 45 GDPR.
  • standard data protection clauses adopted by the Commission in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Art. 93 Sec. 2 GDPR.

Data is typically transferred pending the country stated by the registrant on the registration form to ensure the local Zuken representative / reseller is informed. 

 

5. Security

Zuken employs the legally required technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation, theft and other unauthorised access.

 

6. Period of retention

Personal data collected on the basis of consent by the data subject will be stored for two years upon the date consent was given. Each interaction by or with the data subject within this time frame without withdrawing consent will renew the two year storage period. All other personal data collected will be stored only as long as it’s required for the fulfilment of the purposes for which the data was collected originally or as long as it is legally required. Data due for deletion will be securely removed in accordance with all legal requirements. The registrant can choose to unsubscribe at anytime via our preference centre. Further rights are detailed below.

  

7. Rights of the data subject

You may assume your rights at any time:

  • Right of access in pursuance of Art. 15 GDPR.
  • Right to rectification in pursuance of Art. 16 GDPR.
  • Right to erasure in pursuance of Art. 17 GDPR.
  • Right to restriction of processing in pursuance of Art. 18 GDPR.
  • Right to data portability in pursuance of Art. 20 GDPR.
  • Right to object in pursuance of Art. 21 GDPR. 

If you want to assume your rights you can do so by sending your request via email to privacy@zuken.com or via letter mail to the address found in section 1 of this privacy policy. Additionally you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in pursuance of Art. 77 Sec. 1 GDPR. You can request further information at your local data protection supervisory authority.
