E³.series Certified Integration with SAP R/3 PLM

The integration of E³.series into SAP R/3 PLM consists of three modules. Each of these modules can be individually licensed and enhanced to meet user-specific requirements. 

  • Material - Management of the component master data in E³.series and SAP R/3
  • BOM - Transfer of simple or structured bills of material to SAP R/3
  • DMS - Document management of E³.series documents in SAP R/3

SAP R/3 is directly connected to E³.series, allowing you to use SAP search functionality for E³.series objects.

E³.series Integration to SAP R/3 MM

Using the material management module components can be simultaneously created or modified in either the E³.series or SAP R/3 databases. The component data in E³.series is compared to the material master entry in SAP R/3, and you can also share fields and fully track modifications within both environments. The material dialog can directly be called for modification and if components in the E³.series library are directly modified, a query of the relevant entries for SAP R/3 will be displayed when saving - this means that you can guarantee component data consistency between SAP R/3 and E³.series at all times.

E³.series Integration to SAP R/3 BOM

To transfer bills of material a structure can be predefined using freely selectable characteristics. You can choose to opt for either a simple structure (without characteristics) or a structure with higher level assignments, details of location or a combination of both. You create bills of material in the project and then can transfer to SAP R/3 if necessary, where they are assigned a material number. Full full tracking, after you perform any modifications a modification number is also assigned.

E³.series Integration to SAP R/3 DMS

Using the document management of SAP R/3 E³.series documents can be managed. The integration provides all basis functionality of document management:

  • Creation of a new document
  • Modification of a document
  • Checking-out a document for viewing
  • Modification of the document’s status
  • Version control

E³.series documents can directly be searched in the SAP R/3 document management and be loaded at the push of a button. Adoptions of the modules can be carried out on demand by Zuken in accordance with your needs.
