CAM Document Generation
Within every Design Project a lot of data files are being created. In some cases it can be a problem to make sure you pick the right data to send to the shop floor ready for assembly. At other times you may need to go back to an old job to do a repeat or an update and again it can be time consuming to find the right data. Zuken’s DS2 PLMready solution offers data management for the CAM document generation, with full version / revision and access control. This can replace the manual steps and separate local directories on local disc drives with centralized storage and generation of CAM data.
Users can save and retrieve optimized configurations for specific CAM generation jobs, including any information, and shop documentation output from the design project. It ensures that the right data, correct parameters, and right versions are deployed, resulting in reduced delays and costs due to typical manual tasks and information errors.
