SAP R/3 Certified Integration

The integration of DS2 into SAP R/3 PLM consists of three modules. Each of these modules can be individually licensed and be user-specifically enhanced if desired. 

  • Material - Management of the component master data in DS2 and SAP R/3
  • BOM - Transfer of simple or structured bills of material to SAP R/3
  • DMS - Document management of DS2 documents in SAP R/3

SAP R/3 is directly connected to DS2, allowing you to use SAP search functionality for DS2 objects.

DS2 Integration to SAP R/3 MM

Using the material management module components can be simultaneously created or modified in either the DS2 or SAP R/3 databases. The master data record in DS2 is opposed the entry in SAP R/3. Further integration allows you to share fields and fully track modifications within both environments. The material dialog can directly be called for modification and if components in the DS2 library are directly modified, a query of the relevant entries for SAP R/3 will be displayed when saving - this means that you can guarantee component data consistency between SAP R/3 and DS2 at all times.

DS2 Integration to SAP R/3 BOM

To transfer bills of material a structure can be predefined using freely selectable characteristics. You can choose to opt for either a simple structure (without characteristics) or a structure with higher level assignments, details of location or a combination of both. You create bills of material in the project and then can transfer to SAP R/3 if necessary, where they are assigned a material number. Full full tracking, after you perform any modifications a modification number is also assigned.

DS2 Integration to SAP R/3 DMS

Using the document management of SAP R/3 DS2 design data can be managed. The integration provides all basic functionality of document management:

• Creation of a new document
• Modification of a document
• Checking-out a document for viewing
• Modification of the document’s status
• Different versions

DS2 documents can directly be searched in the SAP R/3 document management and be loaded at the push of a button. Adoptions of the modules can be carried out on demand by Zuken in accordance with your needs.
