EMC and Power Integrity Analysis and Optimization
EMC and Power Integrity are both available as cost options with the Lightning High-Speed design solution. The addition of these tools provide fast full-board radiation screening for an early insight into EMC behavior, and screening for power bus issues that look at factors such as the effectiveness of decoupling solutions, noise levels or the radiated emissions due to SSN on each power bus. A common-mode voltage map can be displayed directly in the board design application to identify potential unwanted antennas.
Multi-Board EMC Analysis
Using the Multi-Board add-on you can efficiently analyze the SI behavior of entire systems consisting of several boards, backplanes, connectors and cables. Multiboard systems can be defined by specifying which connectors of different boards are joined together. You can either import (IBIS) EBD standard models or Zuken format multiboard (CBD) files that you export from Lightning yourself. The software automatically extracts all system level interconnect and provides accurate SI and timing analysis results.
