Concurrent Design & Verification

CR-5000 offers first of all interactive integration with a wide range of analog, digital, mixed-signal and multi-technology simulators, including HSpice, PSpice, ADS, Active-HDL, ModelSim or Saber, and through this integration also supports the co-simulation of analog and digital functional blocks and programmable devices. By CR-5000 Lightning a complete signal integrity simulation toolset is provided, fully integrated through the Constraint Manager. Simulations can be started during both schematic entry and board layout, for selected blocks or areas; evaluating the electrical performance, analyzing reflection and crosstalk effects, and calculating the relevant interconnect timing information.

Analog Simulation & Verification

We provide a range of CR-5000 add-on modules for analog simulation and verification, including:

  • Analog Designer
  • CR-5000/Saber Integrated Platform
  • Circuit Adviser

Lightning

CR-5000 Lightning provides a fully integrated, complete signal integrity simulation toolset, with the Constraint Manager at its core. Simulations for analyzing electrical behaviour can be started during both schematic entry and board layout. The graphical Scenario Editor provides a scratchpad for experiments with different design strategies, while powerful parameter sweeping helps you to explore design limits and optimize circuit constraints. If nets are not yet routed, estimates on interconnect length and impedance are automatically considered during simulation to provide complete, realistic solutions. What-if analyses for changes to the layer stack, different track widths or track-to-track spacing, can be easily performed, for optimizing single-ended or differential impedance and crosstalk effects.

Lightning Tools

We provide a range of CR-5000 Lightning add-on modules including;

  • Scenario Editor
  • Topology Editor
  • Configuration Editor
  • SI Simulation
  • Simulation Library Manager

RF Design & Verification

CR-5000 System Designer and Board Designer both can be interactively linked with ADS, Agilent Technologies' RF, high-frequency design tool, for the realization of high quality boards containing both baseband and RF circuits.
