Schematic Design
The CADSTAR design environment's schematic capture front end, which complements the CADSTAR PCB design editor, provides a smooth and error-free transition between Schematics and PCB using a binary transfer mechanism. Engineering change orders (ECOs) are transferred in the same way, using the schematic design as the reference. Constraints-driven technology produces obeying constraints set early in the design process. This concept of establishing parameters is a proven, successful technology used in the verification and timing areas of Zuken's high end solutions.
- Constraints-driven technology, in order to produce complex PCB designs by defining, manipulating and obeying constraints early in the design process
- Meet time and quality standards
- Error-free transfer to PCB
- Up front PCB design constraint rules
- Cross probing between applications
- Engineering change orders (ECOs) are transferred using the schematic design as the reference
- Version control to determine whether the parts, components, and symbols are the latest version available from the components library; also ensures integration into the supply chain
- Design reuse allows re-use of proven and tested logical circuits from an earlier design. Typical examples where design re-use is suitable include:
- Power supplies
- RF designs
- Multichannel designs (I/O, drivers etc.)
- Via fan-out and decoupling structure on BGA designs
- Power supplies
