Interface with Desktop Publishing Systems

Schematics can be converted into industry-standard DTP formats using the Document Data Generator. DXF output is AutoCAD-compliant and an Adobe Illustrator EPS format output is also included. Differentiation between plotter and printer output, and data structure and relationships are maintained after conversion.

Advanced PDF

Advanced PDF converts schematics from Design Gateway into PDF files (with TIFF formatting as an option), enabling users to search and add bookmarks to the document. These bookmarks mean that elements, such as components and nets, contained within the PDF files can be easily located on the document by clicking on entities in the bookmarks list.

The functionality provided by Advanced PDF facilitates detailed checks of assigned properties (e.g. max via and net length), reducing errors and enhancing the overall end product quality by enabling designers and engineers who may not be using Design Gateway to view and carry out simple search functions on schematics.
