Functional Block Diagrams to Detailed System Wiring Diagrams – A New and Integrated Approach

Webinar OnDemand - E³.series
In the area of System Design, System Engineers have accomplished their design tasks using an array of different tools including spreadsheets, diagramming programs and “dumb” graphics. Integration between block diagrams and interconnect and system wiring diagrams has typically involved manual operations resulting in significant time and cost burdens. With the new Functional Design capability built into E³.series, Zuken introduces a new, integrated, solution for system design that integrates the creation of Block Diagrams with the generation of Interconnect Diagrams and System Wiring Diagrams.
Who should view this Webinar?
- Engineering Managers
- Project and Program Managers
- Designers and Design Managers
What we’ll cover:
- Easy generation of Functional Block Diagrams
Interconnect diagrams generated from Block Diagram data
- System Wiring Diagrams generated automatically

Webinar Presenter
Geoff Lydon, Zuken
An Electrical Engineer by training, Geoff Lydon has been involved in CAD since 1984. His initial exposure was in the selection process, which at the time included such systems as Computervision, Intergraph and Autotrol. From there he moved into systems management. In 1995 he returned to his electrical engineering roots and began working with CIM-Team, working with their DDS-C product, a schematic design tool. With the introduction of E³.series in 2000, he helped establish CIM-Team’s US operations and was President of CIM-Team USA until its acquisition by Zuken in 2006. He now focuses on schematic and cabling design solutions for Zuken’s quickly expanding customer base.
