European & North American Business Report

Steadily expanding new business and increasing recognition as a solutions partner.
Reflecting upon the success of 2010-2011
The western market has made a strong recovery from the global economic downturn of 2009, particularly thriving in central Europe. Industries including machinery, industrial control, digital communications, medical and automotive have been at the heart of this resurgence. Strategic new customers within the automotive industry, for example, have helped us gain an even greater stronghold in that sector and laid solid foundations for business partnerships in the years ahead.
As part of our ongoing strategy to increase awareness of Zuken in the western market, we have a combined approach that involves traditional and new forms of communication to engage with our customers and capture the interest of prospective customers and industry thought leaders. During the last fiscal year, Zuken attracted more attendees than ever before to corporate-hosted events across Europe and North America. For example, the first E³.series conference held by the E³.series reseller Point in Moscow, Russia, was very well attended. We received positive feedback from many who would like the conference to become a regular fixture.
To reflect the adoption of social media within our western market design community, we implemented a social media strategy that has seen the launch of the Zuken Blog and further adoption of other social media channels such as YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter to increase the reach of our message across the globe. We have also been proactive in engaging with the press community to proliferate and clarify our market share position as the world’s number two PCB design software vendor, and number four overall EDA software vendor.
Looking forward to 2011-2012
We are enthusiastic about what the next year holds for us as companies and economies continue to regain confidence. In addition to taking good care of our existing customers, we are well-positioned to gain new customers particularly within industries such as automotive for electronic and wire harness design, aerospace for both military and small private jets, industrial controls and digital communications.
On a technology level, we continue to deliver innovative and industry-leading software solutions that enable companies to implement integrated design strategies from conceptual design through to manufacturing.
