Cookie Notice

What are cookies and how are they used?

Cookies are small text files that are filed on your hard-drive by the web-server and which inter alia enable websites to remember a visitor's browsing activity. This can include where a visitor has clicked on web pages as well as important information such as a user's log in name. On our site, your browsing activity (which is held in these cookies) is subsequently sent back to our Website by your browser so that this information can be used to deliver 'tailored' web pages to make your use of our site more personal. For example, on our site, if you browse certain web pages, we may choose to promote offers relating to those pages via adverts on other pages within our Website.

There are different types of cookies:

  • Persistent Cookies will allow our site to recognise you when you return to our site another time. This provides us with useful analytics that help us to optimise our website and your visits.
  • Session Cookies exist just for the life of your current visit whilst you have your browser open. They are not stored on your hard disk and are erased when you exit your web browser.

We use the following cookies:

  • Persistent:
    • AllowCookies for the Website to remember your cookie preference.
    • AllowGeoIPTracking for German visitors to the Website who select to allow IP Tracking
    • SC_ANALYTICS_GLOBAL_COOKIE for Sitecore analytics to identify repeat visits from a single user.
    • utma/b/v for Google Analytics to collect information (non personal) about how visitors use the information to compile reports to help us improve the Website.
  • Session:
    • website#lang for the Website to remember your language preference.
    • .ASPXAUTH is used to determine if a user is authenticated (i.e. when logged into the member area on the Website respectively your Zuken.com User Account).
    • SC_ANALYTICS_SESSION_COOKIE for Sitecore analytics to identify a sequence of HTTP requests from one user.
    • ASP.NET_SessionId allows for HTTP requests to be linked to server-side session data.
    • utmc for Google Analytics to collect information (non personal) about how visitors use the in-formation to compile reports to help us improve the Website.

Cookie Data collected

Certain browsers allow for the identification and reading of cookie data collected; including

  • Name of cookie, associated value, associated domain, size of cookie, path, expiry date, transfer protocal and security.
One such browser to allow this is ‘FireFox’ and the Firebug add-on tool (https://getfirebug.com/)

  • Other browsers may have their own tools.

Manually managing cookies

There are a number of ways you can manually manage cookies on your computer/device. If you access the Internet from more than one computer/device it is important to ensure each browser is configured to suit your cookie preferences.

You may choose whether or not you wish to accept cookies. You may configure the browser in such a way that you are notified in the event of the receipt of a cookie. You may also refuse the use of cookies permanently in your browser configuration. For details, please refer the help function of your internet browser.

Find out how to manually configure your browser settings.

It is important to note that blocking cookies may result in some parts of our Website not working properly. This may affect your browsing experience (e.g. if you choose to register for a Zuken.com User Account you will not be able to automatically log into your Zuken.com User Account for any subsequent visits from the same machine and browser).

For more information on the data we collect and how we use it, please refer to our Privacy Policy

If you have any questions, queries or suggestions regarding this Cookie Policy please feel free to contact Zuken at privacy@zuken.com or at Privacy Policy Matters, Zuken ltd. 1500 Aztec West, Almondsbury, Bristol, BS32 4RF, United Kingdom.
