Part Acceptance

A warning message can be added for a part and set to appear when adding this part to a design to warn the user of the consequences of using this part and to prompt them to accept and continue or not. This is commonly due to an existing part becoming obsolete or expensive to use.

A new Part Acceptance column has been added to the Parts tab in Library Editor, into which the warning message is entered for a part.

The text in this column will be displayed to the user in a dialog box when they add this part into a design. The user will then either confirm or reject the addition of the part.

In the Report Generator, there is a new Report Element called Part Acceptance, which when used will output the Part Acceptance message for the specified part. There is also an option to output the Part Acceptance message in the Parts List Report.
