Parameter Sweep
You can easily evaluate the SI behaviour of your topology using a range
of passive component values and/or the transmission line lengths using
the parameter sweep function. Furthermore, you can vary buffer models
for Input, Output, Bi-Directional and Tri-State buffers. These parameters
not only can be varied on their own, but in various combinations in a
Mixed Parameter Sweep.
After pressing the Parameter Sweep Icon , or choosing this method in
the Simulation menu, you are guided through a Parameter Sweep setup wizard,
allowing you to create your desired parametric variation in order to find
corner stones of your design. Initially, a Parameter Sweep Main Dialog
is shown.
After completion of the setup, you can run the set of simulations.
The results will then be displayed continuously in the Sweep View of
SISS as they are computed. Each simulation result is related to a Simulation
ID which is shown in the x-axis of the diagram. This ID is also linked
to the Summary Dialog, which is available to be shown just before starting
the simulation run. Tool-tips on the result markers give you more information
on the actual parameters used in a particular simulation leading to a
specific result.
You can choose the type of result to be displayed from a combo box entry.
A complete set of measurement results is available.
