Enhancements for Buses

Differential pairs

A bus is an ordered list of one or more electrical nets, differential pairs or sub-busses. Each bus may contain one item type, i.e. it may not contain a mixture of electrical nets, differential pairs and sub-busses..

An electrical net or differential pair may not exist in more than one bus.

The list of electrical nets, differential pairs or sub-busses will be displayed in alphabetical order in the tree view.

Sub buses

This option is available on the CM,Edit,New menu when one or more electrical nets, differential pairs or paths within a bus are selected

The Simulate Uncoupled and Update Selected options can be run on a selected sub-bus.

When sub-busses have been defined in the Constraint Manager, trunk markers are displayed on the canvas in the Physical Editor, allowing the sub-busses to be routed independently.

bus_name

Enhancements have been made to the way in which the bus_name attribute is generated when a bus is created in the Constraint Manager to support series-terminated nets.
