Tidy Connections
This is an enhancement to the current Routing Completion Report, where
generating a report which lists unrouted connections where a physical
signal path between two nodes is broken (i.e. when you cannot go from
one node to another through a continuous physical path of vias, routes,
copper, split planes or power plane layers).
You can now in the Defaults dialog, turn on the Tidy Connections option,
and all the unbroken connections
in the design view are hidden.

In the example below, you have a connection
between two pins. In
addition the two pins are connected to a via which also connects to power
plane layer.

With the Tidy Connections option on, since
that the two pins are connected through the vias and power plane, meaning
the routing between the two pins is complete, therefore the connection
is obsolete and hidden.

However deleting one of the via, breaks
the link, so the connection is shown.

The Tidy Connections option can be configured
to update the design view after each item operation By
Item (i.e. each component move), or menu option command By
Option (after set of component moves). |
