What's New in CADSTAR 11

45 Degree Pin Exit Directions

P.R.Editor and CADSTAR now supports additional Pin Exit directions, as well as the directions available in previous versions (North, South, East and West) there are now new exit directions at 45˚ angles; North-East, South-East, North-West and South-West, as well as a new "Free Angle" exit direction, which allows the pin to be exited in any direction.

In CADSTAR, the new exit directions are available from within "Item Properties" for Pins, the PCB Component Wizard and the "Add Pin" dialog when editing components. They are also fully supported during routing.

All of the dialogs use the same method to show the selected exit directions, which is with a simple grid indicating the selected exit directions. Selecting "Free Angle" overrides any other exit directions that have been set and they will therefore be disabled.

In P.R.Editor, in the Attributes dialog you can set the exit direction for package pins, the dialog has also been enhanced for 45 degree pin exit directions;
